Transformation Contest

Well ladies and gentleman I placed 2nd in the Men Under 40 category. You can see the results here and my essay.

I was quite proud of myself for sticking to my workouts. The consistency was key. Now I am starting on the original TT 2K3 from the manual. Just something different but I enjoy it. Will keep you posted and I hope you join me to transform your lives too.

Transformation Contest Update

This past week I finished my transformation contest. The last workout I did was TT Mass at Home.

My main goal was to lean out and increase strength and I did increase my strength. Using TT Buff Guys, Reformed Meatheads and Mass at Home I was able to increase my DB Bench from 45 lb for 6 reps to 65 lb for 6 reps. My pull ups increased from 4 to 7 and deadlift from 115 lb for 8 reps to 165 lb for 8 reps.

The workouts were quick and efficient. I was always done within an hour including the shower. My diet was not as good as it could have been. I still battle with the sweet tooth and stress eating. With a daughter and a second child on the way stress eating takes it toll.

TT reformed Meatheads

Finished TT Reformed meatheads last week. Asked Craig Ballantyne at his Facebook QnA which workout should be next and he recommended TT Meatheads 5.

Reformed Meatheads was a great workout. My diet is still poor but my strength definitely increased. Workout C the first superset of deadlifts and bench press was a killer.

Meatheads 5 is a 4 day a week workout. Finished A and B and I like it. I am hoping I can get my diet on track for outstanding results. My strength is increasing and that's good but diet is key.

So last month of the contest and many challenges but so far sticking to the full 4 week workout is something I haven't done in a long time.

June Workout and Workout Review

Alright followers, so last week I finished TT Buff Guys and Hot Gals workout. What a great workout. Thanks to my wife for allowing me an extra day to workout (amid our daughter and everything) I manged to get this program done in 4 weeks. Workout A was a really tough leg workout, and I didn't even have a squat rack so i had to replace the squats with lunges. At the end of that workout I was dripping in sweat.

My body composition seemed to have changed. Late in the second or third week I started taking creatine because I wanted to get stronger. I noticed results within the 2 weeks in that I was able to lift heavier. Hence my weight stayed the same and my body-fat too.

Diet is still an issue and I am trying several things from cutting down on grains to fasting once a week. My issue is I love sweets and junk food too much. Nonetheless, anything worth having is worth working for and I need to be more disciplined at it.

Today I started my next 4 week program TT Reformed Meatheads. I am back to a 3 day workout because I was getting a little tired near the end last month and June has several events which will make planning a 4th workout that much more difficult. These events include my wedding anniversary, my birthday and fathers day.

Anyhow, this month the focus becomes on diet and planning. Stay tuned.

Transformation Contest and My Workout

TT Buff Dudes Recap and New Workout

It's been a while since my last post and truthfully though I have been working out I haven't managed to keep my diet in tack. Diet is the hardest part and I emotionally eat and get stressed so my results are not great if any different. I will post pictures in the next couple days.

I am about to complete TT Buff Dudes and Hot Chicks workout. It is widely regarded as the one of the hardest workouts and best one for fat loss. I liked the workout but it was not as challenging as I thought. It was tough yeah but not challenging I guess in a muscle building way. Plus the results were not great but that's more due to poor diet. Nonetheless the workout was fun, I enjoyed it and found the timed interval bodyweight training exhausting.

Next week I think I am going to try the buff guys workout. But it is 4 day a week program. So we shall see. Also a new contest begins May 4th 2012. I am going to enter and finish and submit this one. You too can enter the contest and find details here.

Update on Transformation Contest

Today I completed 4 weeks of TT 2K4. Officially it's only been 2 weeks into my contest but I really wanted to finish this workout. I rarely finish workouts. I usually start and about 2 weeks in get bored and switch, hence for me this a big deal. I love working out, I just have difficulty sticking to one workout.

The workout was fun and challenging. I definitely saw some growth of muscle in the 4 weeks. The only thing I am still having difficulty with is the eating. Unfortunately this is the most important part. I am trying to different strategies from fasting to eating once per day but I still binge eat a lot and a lot of night time eating because of my schedule.

My next workout I start this week and I am debating between TT2K3 or TT Reformed Meatheads. My main goal is gain muscle and lose fat. TT 2K3 will definitely do that but I strongly dislike cardio. Reformed Meatheads does body-weight cardio which I like better. So I will let you know this week which one I choose.
